The Melfort Music Festival Association (MMFA) was established in 1928 with the vision of promoting excellence in music and speech arts by providing performance and educational opportunities through a local competitive music festival following the provincial syllabus.
Through this competitive process successful candidates will have entrance to the annual Provincial Competitions, Concerto Competition, and Opera Competition.
Areas of competition for musicians include: voice, musical theatre, piano, guitar, strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, choir, school music, speech arts, small ensembles, and band. Participants may enter any classes for “adjudication only” and forego marks and scholarships.
